Kudsi Erguner, born in the 1950s in Istanbul, Turkey, is considered a master of traditional Mevlevi Sufi and is one of the best-known players of the Turkish ney flute. As a boy, Kudsi and his father Ulvi Erguner performed hypnotic and spiritual dance rituals from the Mevlevi-Sufi tradition at Dervish ceremonies. PLEASE DON'T COMMENT UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY LISTEN. Too much of that on here and it's usually totally obvious. Here's a tune with roots in middle eastern music and dub. It fits no genre. This is from an album called Persian Swords which came out in 2019. We believe that any sufficiently advanced music is indistinguishable from magic. more
